When she is not on the court, she is making trips to the gym, running, doing muay thai, skiing, golfing, and anything else that is active. She also serves as a tennis analyst and makes guest appearances on ESPN radio.ĭuring her time off, Prim stays involved with tennis and coaches part-time, because she loves mentoring kids. At ESPN, she serves as an on-air personality for and television covering the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MMA, golf, and, of course, tennis. In March 2011, Prim joined the Worldwide Leader of Sports as an anchor. While at WFOR, she had an instrumental role with the Miami Dolphins pre-game and post-game shows, and also covered the Miami Heat, Miami Marlins, Florida Panthers and Miami Hurricanes. Several months after graduating from Duke, Prim landed her first job in television as an intern making $7 per hour at the number #1 TV station in Raleigh, North Carolina, WRAL-TV. And with the encouragement from one of her professors, Prim decided to pursue her next career: as a sportscaster.
It was then that she realized her time on the court was winding down. But after years of competition, Prim was forced to undergo surgery on her right shoulder, right knee and left knee. During her senior year, the Blue Devils won National Team Indoors and earned a #1 national ranking for the first time ever. While at Duke, the women’s tennis team was ranked top ten in the country.
